Upstairs and Loft Conversion – Watford

Herts Flooring recently carried out the fitting of a Cormar Carpet to the stairs, landing, study and loft room of new customers Mr and Mrs Lopez, as well as LVT Moduleo flooring in their bathroom and shower room.

When Mr & Mrs Lopez visited us they had a vague idea of what they were looking for colour-wise, but were unsure of the various flooring options available. Our experienced team member Mark discussed their options, advised that a hard-wearing carpet, with stain resistance, would be most efficient for the busy stairs and landing areas of the house. With pets and with a baby on the way, the same carpet would also be suitable for their study and bedroom. Mark recommended Cormar’s Primo Easy Clean Twist carpet; whilst being durable, it also has a luxury finish that really makes a house feel homely. The couple agreed with Mark and so we sent them away with a few samples in order to choose their preferred colour.

After extensive home renovations and extension, the couple were also planning on fitting a lino or laminate floor in their bathrooms. Once again, Mark was able to advise Mr and Mrs Lopez that a laminate wouldn’t be appropriate for rooms where there is a lot of moisture, however if they were looking for a wood-effect with texture…that a Luxury Vinyl Tile could be the solution. The couple were impressed with the realistic wood-look finish of Moduleo and instantly were drawn to the ‘Tectona Teak’ style of tile. To ensure that they could be confident in their decision we sent them home with a sample to place in their home.

Once the customers had made their choice of flooring one of our experienced fitters visited them at home to measure for an accurate quote, at the same time we picked up the samples for the customers convenience. Upon agreeing the quote we set a fitting date with the customers. The fitting ran smoothly, and in order to work around the building work they were having carried out, our fitters were happy to work on two separate days.
